Hostel Rules

• University has separate hostels for boys & girls within the campus with Mess facilities.
• Admission to hostel shall be granted on recommendation of Hostel Committee constituted by the university.
• Students can utilize the available basic facilities provided by the University. University is not bound to provide any extra facilities.
• During the beginning of the academic session, hostellers are required to deposit hostel fee of one academic session in advance.
• Students have to enclose a medical fitness certificate form a Civil Surgeon/Registered Medical Practitioner before their admission in hostel.
• Parents/Guardian’s must be present with girls at the time of admission in the hostel.
• University reserves the right to allot the hostel as per availability.
• At the beginning of the session, University will provide the electrical appliances like bulbs, tube-lights and fans only once.
• Using any extra electrical appliance in the hostel is an offence. If found, the appliance will be forfeited and a fine of Rs. 500.00 may be levied on the spot to the concerned student.
• On the recommendation of the Registered Medical Practitioner, University reserves all the rights to expel any hosteller suffering from any contagious disease or otherwise.
• Hostellers are advised to take care of their belongings themselves.
• Warden of hostel reserves all the right to check the parcel of hostellers.
• Girls residing in the hostel will be allowed to meet only those visitors who are authorized by their Parents/Guardian.
• Hostellers must take meals only in the Hostel Mess. Mess facility will be available only after payment of prescribed mess charge and mess charges should be paid on or before 10th of every month.
• All the hostellers must be present in their allotted rooms during the daily inspection/attendance by the hostel warden at 7:45pm.
• Main gate of the Girl’s hostel will be closed at 7:30pm.
• Without prior permission of the hostel warden, hostellers are not allowed to go/stay out of the hostel after 7:30pm.
• Local students/unauthorized person are not allowed to avail the hostel facility.
• Unauthorized writing/scribbling on the walls are strictly prohibited.
• Participation in ragging or abetting in any manner is strictly prohibited and punishable.
• Hostellers should reside only in their allotted rooms.
• In case of damage to any of the hostel properties, concern hosteller(s) will be charged with cash penalty for the same.
• Smoking and consuming Liquor/Drugs and any substance prohibited under COTPA in the hostel is strictly prohibited and punishable.
• Hostellers are strictly prohibited to participate in any kind of anti-social, anti University and anti-national activities.
• Hostellers should completely vacate their rooms after the end of the session and submit the keys of their rooms to the hostel warden before leaving.
• The University reserves all the rights to amend the Hostel Rules any time.
• Hostel Warden may inspect any room at any time without prior intimation.
• Outsiders are not permitted inside the Hostel.
